On Friday 30 November 2018, a signing ceremony was held at Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Japan for the Memorandum of Understanding of pre-games training upon the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 between Kamisu City and Tunisian Olympic Committee (hereafter referred to as the “TOC”).
The Mayor of Kamisu City, Mr. Ishida, said that they will make arrangemet and get ready to have Tunisia athletes training in a pleasant enviornment.
Details (sports and date etc.) of the pre-games camp of Tunisian Olympic Team will be decided from now on.

Currently, including Tunisia, Ibaraki Prefecture has signed the letter of intent (Memorandum of Understanding) with 10 countries and regions in total to hold the pre-games training camp in Ibaraki (※as of 3 December 2018). The other 9 countries and regions are Palau (with Hitachiomiya City), Cuba (with Ryugasaki City – Judo), Mongolia (with Sakuragawa City – Shooting), Oceania Area (with Ryugasaki City – Judo), Thailand (with Ryugasaki City – Athletics), Argentina (with Sakai Town), Switzerland (with Tsukuba City), Kazakhstan (with Yuki City – Karate), and Belgium (with Ibaraki Prefecture, Mito City and Hitachinaka City).
